Debut single ‘Sorrow’ premiered on Metaltalk.net to great acclaim: hailed and shared by members of Rob Zombie, rotated on Scuzz TV and featured in Bass Guitar Magazine. ‘Ghost in the Glass’ followed, winning public praise from The Mission and Therapy? and garnering over 150,000 Spotify plays.

Diamond Black soon signed a worldwide deal with the legendary Cargo/Livewire Records, releasing their searing, seductive single ‘The Scarlet’, which received public praise from The Birthday Massacre and Lord of the Lost, with the sensational video clip winning first place in both the New York Cinematography Awards and Paris International Music Awards.

This spiral of success caught the attention of United Talent Agency, signing Diamond Black to their roster, alongside such luminaries as Alterbridge, Alice Cooper, Katatonia, Killing Joke and Bullet for My Valentine.

The band have toured the UK as main support to CELLAR DARLING, headlined their own sell-out London shows and captivated a sold-out crowd at 69 Eyes’ 30th anniversary London show.

Founded by Christo (The Sisters of Mercy, PIG, Nathan Gray) and original virtuoso vocalist Jaakko Turunen, Diamond Black was completed by gifted multi-instrumentalist and graphic guru Adam Hart and hugely-acclaimed drummer Vincent Velazco (Pendragon, Gus G), capturing the hearts and imaginations of alternative music fans worldwide. After a highly successful first tenure, Turunen and the band amicably parted company, with Christo now stepping into the lead role, supported by Hart’s inimitable vocal talents and with Velazco prevailing as the percussive powerhouse.

Diamond Black’s devastating debut album, DARK ANTHEMS is due for release in 2023. Ten powerful cuts of introspection, intrigue and isolation, produced by chart-topping Finnish visionary Jaani Peuhu (Swallow the Sun, The Rasmus) and featuring guest appearances from The 69 Eyes and Lord of the Lost.

The band has already amassed a dedicated global fanbase, with each single release selling out within a matter of hours and current Spotify plays clocking in at an impressive 350,000 – for just 4 tracks.

– JORDAN QUINN, BIRMINGHAM LIVE

“…melodically tasty tunes that fuse darkly gothic atmospheres with an engaging rock/metal impetus… Fine, emotionally-charged vocals… a slew of engaging riffs and leads… won’t be too long before this bunch… are filling clubs on their own terms.”
– MARK HOLMES, METAL DISCOVERY

“… soaring vocal range… percussive rhythm and hooky riffs… begs the question “should this band not be headlining their own tour?”
– CHRIS STONES, DOWN THE FRONT MEDIA
