"Light My Fire" Jim Morrison & The Doors ignited my love for reading & writing poetry. Interestingly, the lyrics to their arguably biggest hit, "Light My Fire”, were not written by Jim himself but by The Doors’ guitarist Robby Krieger. Similarly, Diamond Black's poetic lyrics are written by Ben Christo, based on the ideas he & I develop together. “Life is Beautiful”. I first heard this Sixx A.M. song in 2008, at which time I didn't fully understand the deeper meaning or message. It’s only in the last few years that I feel I’ve vividly experienced both the darker & more beautiful sides of life. Without darkness, the light cannot be seen, or, in the words of Nikki Sixx himself "It took a funeral to make me feel alive".
