"Light My Fire"

Jim Morrison & The Doors ignited my love for reading & writing poetry.

Interestingly, the lyrics to their arguably biggest hit, "Light My Fire”, were not written by Jim himself but by The Doors’ guitarist Robby Krieger. Similarly, Diamond Black's poetic lyrics are written by Ben Christo, based on the ideas he & I develop together.

This photo was taken at Laurel Canyon, Hollywood Hills, close to where The Doors’ magic began. Jim & The Doors inspired me beyond words - what are your thoughts on them?

“Life is Beautiful”.
I first heard this Sixx A.M. song in 2008, at which time I didn't fully understand the deeper meaning or message. It’s only in the last few years that I feel I’ve vividly experienced both the darker & more beautiful sides of life.

Without darkness, the light cannot be seen, or, in the words of Nikki Sixx himself "It took a funeral to make me feel alive".

These recent times have been hard for us all, but we will shine even brighter, dear Diamonds, once we reach the other side.
